GetTheData publish a number of free datasets as open data. These datasets can be downloaded by individuals, or programatically by applications.
Open Postcode Geo
Open Postcode Geo contains English, Scottish, and Welsh postcodes, and the location coordinates of the centre of the postcode. Coordinates are provided as both easting and northing pairs, and latitude and longitude pairs.
The data is also available as an API.

Open Postcode Elevation contains English, Scottish, and Welsh postcodes, and the elevation of the centrepoint of that postcode, in metres above sea level.
